The legendary Cornish campsite with breathtaking views, sandy secluded beaches, cliff-top professional theatre and fascinating heritage sites for all ages - all within walking distance.
Treen Farm Campsite is a small family-run site set 200 yards back from Treen Cliff and its fabulous views of the Logan Rock, and within easy walking distance of two beautiful sandy beaches.
It has a reputation for being 'family-friendly' and frequently commended by those who look for relaxation during the day and peace and quiet at night.
Kevin and Gill have been running the site since 2003, which was previously run by Kevin's father and his father before him! Campers have been falling in love with the site and it's perfect location since its inception - one couple in particular have been regulars for over 50 years.
The site, which takes pride of place on the family farm was commandeered by the RAF and used for a RADAR station during the 2nd World war. All of the buildings were built by members of Her Majesty's armed forces - which is probably why they still stand today!
The farm has been in the family for five generations and is now an organic dairy farm and will this year be supplying our shop with pasteurised organic milk.
The site enjoys many 'unplugged' impromptu musical evenings thanks to our talents of many of our visitors throughout our season.
Dogs are welcome (at no extra cost) provided they are properly supervised and exercised off-site.
Facilities on Site
Local meat, veg and bread available in our on-site shop, along with beach goods, camping gas and other essentials, including an off-license available between the hours of 8am and 8pm.
Ample showers, toilets and wash-ups with hot water.
Covered sinks for dish-washing and a basic laundry with a separate washer and dryer.
Chest freezers for cooling freezer packs.
Local mains water of a very 'drinkable' quality.
A high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout.
In the interests of safety, we don't allow open fires, but charcoal barbeques are perfectly acceptable.
Within walking distance:
Cliff walks, Logan Rock - with its pictorial history around the walls of the local public house of the same name, traditional and un-spoilt fishing cove of Penberth, the Minack Theatre - performances between the months of May and September inclusive, the beautiful beaches of Pedn-vounder, Porthcurno and Porth Chapel.
For Serious Walkers:
Follow the South West Coast Path in either direction: East for Lamorna, Mousehole, Newlyn and Penzance - West for Lands End and Sennen Cove.
The Peninsula is rich in historical monuments and heritage sites, easily accessed within a days ride, and offers many magnificent routes and picturesque vistas of the surrounding coast and countryside. Penzance has a reputable cycle hire shop, and we also have a number of cycles for our campers to use.
The best advice during the busy periods is to turn up early at reception in the village from 8am, and upon departure we ask that pitches are vacated by 10am. Saturdays and Sundays see most turnover of available pitches.
Our pitches are flexible and not marked. We try to ensure adequate space for comfort and safety between units.
Our first-come-first-served approach does not allow us to pre-book.
Although we welcome general enquiries about the site, phoning through first will not secure a pitch.
Our busiest times coincide with Whitsun week and the schools' summer holidays.
Pitch availability outside of these dates is generally at less of a premium.
Please note: Our license allows us only to cater for those who tour with tents and/or camper vans, for which we have a limited number of electric hook-ups.
Here are our rates for 2014. The overnight charges are mandatory.
Please note: Due to poor signal onsite we are unable to accept card payments. However, cash and cheques are welcome.
Bus nos. 1, 1a and 504 service Treen with Penzance, and the 300 'open top' will take you around the entire peninsula of West Cornwall.
